  2. NOTES.TXT - some notes on each file on the disk and when they should be used.

  5. What follows is a more in-depth description of the files on this disk.
  6.  
  7. PCPENTE.COM ............ This is the Hercules version of PC PENTE.  A Hercules
  8.                          (or compatible) graphics card must be present in the
  9.                          computer for this program to operate properly.
  10. IBMPENTE.COM ........... This is the IBM version of PC PENTE.  While it is
  11.                          still in monochrome, the program is compatible with
  12.                          IBM CGA as well as several other popular monitors,
  13.                          such as the monochrome and color Tandys.  As a rule
  14.                          of thumb, try this version of the program first if
  15.                          you are unsure as to what kind of graphics card is
  16.                          present in your system.
  17. ERROR.MSG .............. This contains the list of possible error messages
  18.                          for use with Borland's Turbo Graphix Toolbox (TM).
  19. 4X6.FON ................ This contains the specialized font that PC PENTE uses
  20.                          in its initial and terminal graphics screens.  As
  21.                          with ERROR.MSG, this program is also provided in
  22.                          Turbo Graphix Toolbox (TM).
  23. RULES.COM .............. This program lists a concise set of rules for playing
  24.                          PC PENTE.  Additional reading for the novice is sug-
  25.                          gested.
  26. FILES.TXT .............. This is a concise listing of the files on this disk.
  27. NOTES.TXT .............. This is the text file containing what you are reading.
  28. HARDSET.BAT ............ This file creates a subdirectory on your hard disk
  29.                          (C:\PCPENTE) and copies all of the necessary files to
  30.                          that subdirectory.
